HRA Masters Membership
Membership in the Halifax Rowing Association provides access to the only rowing facility in Volusia County, a finger on
the pulse of local rowing activity, and entitles its members to year-round access to a variety of functions and events.
Membership includes full use of the boathouse and it's equipment subject to access times and supervision. Anyone ages 18
and up may join after completing one of HRA’s Learn-to-Row programs, or by demonstrating technical proficiency to one of
our coaches.
Being a Masters Member of HRA provides you access to participate in regularly scheduled sweep and sculling practices,
as well as discounts on club sponsored rowing clinics and lessons. Rowing machines (ergometers), weight equipment, showers,
and changing areas are also available for member use. Limited personal boat storage and lockers are available for an
additional fee. All equipment use requires certain levels of supervision until members are properly trained and have
demonstrated proficiency on its use.
Membership fees and annual dues are modest when compared to other clubs offering similar services in other parts of the State
and Country. These dues form the basis for maintaining the club in a financially viable state and are supplemented by the
efforts of the membership through a variety of fund-raising and marketing campaigns, and individual contributions.
